In this informative workshop, Dr Johanna Saltis, Clinical Psychologist will be presenting information to provide you with the opportunity to have the following

4. Transform the homework experience into a naturalistic behavioural experiment through posthypnotic suggestion.

5. Gain a new perspective on hypnotic phenomena, using the neurocognitive lens.


Presenter - Dr Johanna Saltis

Johanna has a PhD in Neuroscience, a Masters in Clinical Psychology and Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (Australian Society of Hypnosis). She has taught at a number of Australian universities and published in the field of Human Physiology, neuroplasticity and hypnosis. She works as Senior Clinical Psychologist at Western Older Person’s Mental Health Team and maintains a small consultancy practice. She is particularly interested in the application of positive psychology approaches to managing pain, complex grief and self-harm behaviours. Neuroscience continues to inform her clinical practice and she co-founded the Adelaide Neuropsychotherapy Interest Group, with Dr Sue Stefanovic, attracting Commonwealth Government Mental Health Professional Network funding for the past 4-years. She has supervised Clinical Psychology Masters students and was Psychology Clinic Coordinator at UniSA in 2016. She was appointed as Research Program Director for SASH in 2016 as part of a strategy to foster teaching and research excellence in the field of hypnosis in South Australia.
