The Australian Society of Hypnosis (ASH) is a nationally professional association. Membership of the Society is open to the following health care professionals: Counsellors, Chiropractors, Dentists, Medical Practitioners, Midwives, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Optometrists, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers & Speech Pathologists.
All the above practitioners join as Associate Members, and become eligible for Full Membership of the Society on satisfactory completion of approved training and/or the assessment process conducted by the Society.ASH Victoria is the organisation representing the Australian Society of Hypnosis in Victoria.

Doris Brett is a writer and Clinical Psychologist with forty-five years of experience. She has lectured widely both nationally and internationally and has a special interest in Ericksonian approaches to hypnotherapy.
Doris’ books Annie Stories and More Annie Stories, published nearly three decades ago, were among the first to teach therapists and parents how to utilise the therapeutic power of stories and narrative. The books have been published in America, Europe, Russia and Korea, as well as Australia.
Dr. Oliver Sacks wrote about Doris’ memoir Eating the Underworld (which deals with the experience of life-threatening illness) “Extraordinary. . . its bravery, irony, humour and intelligence - everything shines through the transparent.
